Under the umbrella of Anuga the trade show Anuga Organic offers an extensive offer of organic products from Germany and abroad with a clear focus on export. The trade show presents market and location-compatible organic products, regional specialities, fair trade goods and vegan foods that are considered to be the trends and drivers of the industry.

The "Anuga Organic Supermarket" special event is one of the highlights of Anuga Organic. Here a wide spectrum of organic-certified products for the food retail trade are presented, which spans all trade shows. About the development on the organic market*:

The global innovation activity in the section of organic foods and beverages declined slightly in 2023 in comparison to the past four years (CAGR -1%). Almost 60% of the organic product launches were recorded in Western Europe, followed by North America with a share of 16%. The fastest growing regions were Eastern Europe (+17%) and Africa (+14%). France topped the rankings with a share of 14% of the organic product launches between 2019 and 2023, followed by the USA (13%) and Germany 12%).

Product categories and consumer trends*:

- Top category for organic products: Baby and toddler food (16% share), followed by sauces & spices (10%)
and bakery products (9%).

- Consumer influence: 43% of the consumers worldwide stated that the organic label has a high to extremely high influence on their purchasing decisions. Furthermore, last year 57% of the consumers consciously selected foodstuffs because of their environmental-friendliness, including organic products.

- Popular health and selection demands: The vegan demand was most frequently combined with organic products in 2023 (43%), followed by gluten-free (35%), without additives/preservatives (29%) and GMO-free (20%).
