The world is set to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions to limit global warming. Food industry accounts for over one-third of global greenhouse gas emissions (UN, 2021). Green claims, like “climate neutral product” or “100% renewable” have become well-known marketing instruments. But does the claim always hold up to its promise?
